Two polls show ND, SYRIZA neck-and-neck, one puts leftists far ahead

New opinion polls showed that looming European Parliament elections are likely to be a close race between conservative New Democracy and SYRIZA with one poll indicating that the leftists have a significantly bigger lead on the co-ruling conservatives.
A poll carried out by e-Voice for the paraskhnio.gr news website put ND at 23.1 percent and SYRIZA at 22.2 percent followed by Elia (PASOK) at 7.3 percent, the Communist Party (KKE) at 7.1, newcomer To Potami at 6.3 percent, Golden Dawn at 6.2 percent, Independent Greeks at 3.6 percent and Democratic Left (DIMAR) at just 1.6 percent.
Another survey carried out by the Alco pollster firm put SYRIZA on 23.4 percent, ahead of ND with 22 percent, Golden Dawn on 7.3, To Potami on 7 percent, Elia on 5.1 percent, KKE on 5, percent and Independent Greeks and DIMAR on 4.6 and 2.4 percent respectively.
A poll by Palmos Analysis for leftist portal TVXS puts SYRIZA way ahead of ND with 25.4 percent to the conservatives' 20.3 percent followed by Golden Dawn with 5.7 percent, To Potami with 5.4 percent, Elia with 4.9 percent, the KKE with 4.6 percent and Independent Greeks and DIMAR with 3.6 and 2.6 percent respectively.
