US Deputy Secretary of State Bill Burns
US Deputy Secretary of State Bill Burns, accompanied by Assistant Secretary for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs William R. Brownfield, is paying a visit to the Western Balkan countries from 16-20 February.
This visit underscores the US commitment to the countries of the Western Balkans and the continuous support for their Euro-Atlantic aspirations, according to the US State Department.
During the visit to the Balkan region, Burns will travel to Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, and Croatia for meetings with senior officials on bilateral and regional issues.
On his journey, Burns plans to encourage greater regional co-operation and stress the need for country leaders to address key issues such as the rule of law and economic development.
