Britain's Prince William and his wife, Kate, continued their U.S. visit Tuesday with a stop at the National September 11 Memorial and Museum in New York City.
The royal couple laid flowers at the site, which pays tribute to the nearly 3,000 victims of the 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States. Sixty seven British citizens were among those killed.
Tuesday marks the third and final day the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are spending in the United States.
They will also attend a charity dinner celebrating the 600th anniversary of the University of St. Andrews, where they both got their degrees and met as students.
Monday, Prince William made his first trip to Washington, speaking out against the illegal wildlife trade in a meeting with President Barack Obama at the White House and a speech at a World Bank conference.
The future British king later reunited in New York with his wife, who is expecting the couple's second child.
William and Kate attended a National Basketball Association (NBA) game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Cleveland Cavaliers. They met one of America's most famous basketball players, Cavaliers star Lebron James, who is nicknamed "King James."
The NBA said William and Kate were attending the game as part of a new partnership between the league and the Royal Foundation. The project will unite NBA players and Britain's royalty to stress global wildlife conservation and boost the sport of basketball.
They also spent time talking with American singer Beyoncé, known by her fans as "Queen Bey," and her rapper husband, Jay Z.
