Police in southern Spain has arrested three suspected al-Qaeda members in possession of explosives and poison, Spanish Cadena Ser radio reported.
According to the media and the police, two Chechen, and a Turkish suspect were arrested in Cádiz and Ciudad Real, with intentions to plan a terrorist action in Europe.
Both Chechen suspects were arrested in Valdepeñas, when they were travelling by bus to France. In the other hand, the Turkish citizen was localized in his apartment in San Roque, Cádiz.
The alleged terrorists are related with an al -Qaeda's terrorist cell called LET, which was responsible for the attack in Bombay in 2008, where 170 people died. The relation between both groups was revealed by the Indian press.
The intelligence services were behind the cell for several months and the Spanish authorities detected their presence a month ago. Since then, the suspects have been seen training in paragliding, therefore the police suspected that they planned to perpetuate the attack from the air. / new europe on line
